I(Richard Jennings) on 06-14-2011 responded to ABC motors in reference to a Boat motor being taken from the property. I spoke with Mr. Christopher Bright
Interview with the Complainant: Mr. Bright
Mr. Bright stated that the Sea Pro Center console boat with a 90 HP Yamaha had been parked near the fence line near the left gate on the evening of 06-13-2011. The Complainant went on to state at approximately 2:30 PM on 06-14-2011 he observed that the motor was missing from the boat.Mr. bright suggested a person of interest might be a former employee (Gene Thomas) that lives on Jenkins Ave. in Hardeeville.
Mr. Bright advised that the boat was under consignment for a Mr. Thurman from Ga. And that he had advised him of the stolen motor.

I arrived on the scene and made contact with Mr. Christopher Bright the owner of ABC Motors and was advised that a 90 Hp Yamaha outboard motor had been taken off a boat that had been parked next to the fence. I checked the area of the boat yard and observed scrape marks from the front dolly wheel from the boat from where it had been parked to an area approximately 30 feet away near the center of the yard and in the area I observed several nuts and washers that appeared to be from mounting brackets to a motor. I then observed what appeared to be drag marks from where the motor was removed from the boat and dragged to the fence just left of the gate. The fence was pushed up so that the motor could be slid under the fence. I observe different type of tire marks in the area just outside the fence. I took photos of all these areas.
I proceeded to attempt to retrieve finger prints from the boat itself but was unable to due to the amount of grease on the surfaces. I was able to take photos of two footprints that were in the bottom of the boat near the aft section. I recovered tools that appeared to have been used : two hand cross saws, one pair of "Kolbolt" bolt cutters and a lower section of a pipe wrench. The center console area appeared to have been tampered with also.
I contacted the Victim and advised him of the case number and of my actions so far regarding this case and all contact numbers.

I have a 2005 Bay Craft 185 Flats Edition w/ a Mercury 115 4-stroke. The boat is in great shape and the motor itself looks NEW and just came out of the box. It has a new boat cover that cost $300! The cowling has some nicks and scratches on it like all cowlings. The motor runs great and is extremely fuel efficient and a whole tank will last at least a week running under 3000 rpms. The tank holds 40 gallons. My last fishing trip with my nephew we only burned 21 gallons total in the 5 days of fishing and running from spot to spot with us 2 weighing 375lbs and all our gear and water in the bait well. Marine generator rarely used on 26 ft boat. Comes with it's own fiberglass box/enclosure for easy transport or just leave it on your boat. Easy hook up to your shore power cord. Paid $3900 for it brand new. Works great!!!! We used it to run our airconditioning on the boat or to recharge dead batteries! It's a Honda 2000i EU (2000W) so you can run another generator parallel with it if need be.

All of the hardware necessary comes with it. It is currently 40 yards away from a boat ramp. It can be moved on a boat trailer or a double PWC trailer. It would be your responsibility to detach it from my dock and load and transport it.
